Peter Drake

Peter leads the strategic execution for Capstone Asset Management Partners’ 10,000-bed student housing portfolio, overseeing the portfolio’s performance and long-term asset strategy and property’s capital renewal initiatives. He works closely with university partners, ownership groups, and property management teams to align operational and financial objectives while supporting the delivery of high-quality student housing communities and resident experiences. 

His responsibilities include ongoing stakeholder communications, leasing and operations oversight, financial performance analysis, capital planning, and annual budget development. Peter also plays an active role during the design and preconstruction phases of new developments, collaborating with Capstone’s development management, property management, and university partners to help ensure operational efficiencies and long-term asset performance are incorporated into project planning from the outset. 

With more than two decades of experience in commercial real estate and construction, Peter brings extensive expertise in asset management, capital raising, strategic acquisitions, and portfolio operations. Throughout his career, he has overseen a diverse range of asset types, including multifamily, office, retail, industrial, and student housing properties, developing a broad understanding of investment performance, operational strategy, and long-term portfolio growth.
