DESCRIPTION
Capstone Development Corp partnered with Gardner-Webb University to deliver two phases of housing on the GWU campus, totaling over 280 beds in mostly four-bedroom suites. Students enjoy full kitchens and laundry facilities in the furnished apartments, along with a community sand volleyball court. One and two bedroom units provide accommodations for the manager and resident staff. A Multipurpose Building constructed in Phase II was designed for instruction, study and recreation. The new housing was constructed with materials including aluminum fascia and composite dentil molding that will minimize future maintenance costs. Phase I was completed in 1997 and Phase II was completed in 1999.
