Capstone partnered with City University of New York to develop the campus’ first housing of the New York City College campus. Capstone worked with CCNY to provide housing at affordable rates for students and in a variety of living options, from shared bedroom suites to private bedroom apartments. This unique gated college housing community located in New York’s Upper West side (Harlem), is shared by undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and administration of City College. Students from other CUNY schools also reside at the Towers.
The buildings overlook active recreational green space while affording safety and security to residents. The mid-rise building of six, eight, and ten floors in the three connected structures includes a combinations of shared and private bedroom suites, each with kitchenette and dining/study areas. Additionally, the building features wireless internet in all common areas for group interaction including lobby, seminar and exercise rooms, central laundry and lounges on each floor. Construction started December 2004 and the building was completed in time for student move-in in August 2006.
