Capstone Development was selected in December of 2009, in a national competition, to develop and manage new housing on the Bowling Green State University campus. The new housing community provides housing for 1,318 students in a mixture of private and shared bedroom suites, targeted primarily to 1st and 2nd year students. Completed in 2011, the housing development consists of two separate buildings on two sites, each with multiple wings of varying heights and orientation. The building wings provide communities of 40-50 students, connected by glass links, which serve as small lounge and study spaces. The large public community spaces are placed at the “hub,” at the lower level of each building, providing larger lounges and study spaces, game area, community kitchen, laundry, and multi-purpose rooms for seminars and group study.
While developing the housing facilities, Capstone also assumed responsibility for the development of a 350-seat dining facility on the campus core and completed design and construction of the facility in a mere 8 months.
