Nick Martin

Nick serves as Chief Financial Officer of Capstone, bringing nearly two decades of financial leadership experience across real estate private equity, development, and institutional asset management. A Certified Public Accountant, Nick has built his career at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy — leading complex, multi-entity organizations through periods of rapid growth, capital deployment, and operational transformation.

Prior to joining Capstone, Nick served as CFO of Trailbreak Partners, a Denver-based private equity real estate firm, where he led firm-wide financial strategy, capital planning, and compliance across active funds and ground-up development projects. His background also includes senior finance roles at Global Student Accommodation, BMC Investments, and The Dot Group, where he gained deep experience in student housing, multi-family development, institutional capital structures, and transaction execution.

At Capstone, Nick leads the company’s financial strategy, reporting, risk management, compliance, and corporate governance across its development, management, and investment platforms. He works closely with executive leadership and external partners to ensure accountability, transparency, and positioning for long-term growth.
