Based in Capstone’s Denver office, Dan O’Brien serves as Construction Manager for projects throughout the Western United States. He brings experience in real estate development, owner’s representation, and both commercial and residential general contracting.
Dan works closely with Capstone’s development management staff and project design-build teams to support successful project execution from pre-construction through closeout. His responsibilities include oversight of project coordination, quality control, scheduling, budgeting, and change management to help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and successfully.
Dan led the construction management for Capstone’s Village at Mines Park P3 project at the Colorado School of Mines, which included the renovation and new construction of more than 1,000 beds of on-campus student housing. The project featured mass timber CLT construction and included dining and fitness amenities designed to enhance the student experience.
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and attended Illinois State University. On the weekends I enjoy anything hunting and fishing related as well as barbecuing at the house. When not out in the field hunting or fishing I love spending time with my wife and son. As a family, we like to travel and be in the mountains as much as we can.
