Concordia University-St. Paul selected Capstone Development Corp. to manage the development of a new 86 unit student apartment building replacing three dormitory buildings over 45 years old. A central wooded and landscaped courtyard area between the two wings allows for informal recreation and student socialization. Amenities available to the student residents include a main lobby, central laundry, mailboxes, media lounge with surround sound, chambers for the student senate, as well as materials recycling areas on each floor. The HVAC system is an energy-efficient loop with water source heat pumps affording individual control of heating and cooling within the student units throughout the year. Upper floors include lounge areas and a Prayer Chapel. Apartments are offered in four private bedroom, two bath and two private bedroom, two bath arrangements. Additionally single bedroom with kitchen and bath units are available for accommodating resident advisors, visiting faculty, student leaders and honor students. Holst Hall was delivered in 2008.
