DESCRIPTION
Capstone Development Corp. partnered with UAB in 2000 to bring new housing to the campus as the University, primarily a commuter campus, began to quickly transform into a more traditional residential campus. Blount Hall provides housing for 500 students in a mix of four bedroom/two bath apartments and two bedroom/two bath apartments. The project scope also included on-site parking for two-thirds of the residents and the development of a park-like environment between the new housing and an existing residence hall. Blount Hall was completed in 2001.
